Description
This project will use the Intel Visual ranking Tool. (There are 25 students creating 5 teams , all were given a list containing their Team ID and password, and the web site address for the Intel Visual Ranking Tool.)
Day 1The students will read the articles about the Nichter family and the lost wallet. Once they have read the article they will discuss it and see if they can pick out values that were seen in the article.
Day 2The students will read the article "What's Important to You?". They will then discuss the article content. They will list the different places values can be acquired from. They will then rank the places values come form in the order from top down the one that they feel they got their values from. (There are no right or wrong answers. It is to help them understand that there are different values and they come from different places. The different places that values are acquired from in this article will be the titles of the ranking choices.
Day 3The students will use the Intel Visual ranking Tool.
The teacher ID: mksole63
Password are: A names; M names, J names, S names, and W names (The passwords are the students first letter of their first name and they are on the team with the same letter. Team A, Team J, Team M, Team S, and Team W) Students can click here to login and enter the above information.
We will work through the process so that the students can see how the ranking tool works. Then they will input their list that they created as a team into the ranking tool. Once all five teams have made their list the teams will take turns comparing with the other teams to see what correlations there may be and to discuss the outcomes.
